TransWakefield is a source of information and guidance for health professionals, care workers, employers and anyone interested in transgender and non-binary issues.
We have up-to-date information on the treatment offered by the NHS and the various other options available. We can provide practical help with clothes and make-up and learning to live in a new gender role, whether full or part time. We have access to experienced support workers who can meet in confidence with anyone who is confronted with gender issues.
This could be the trans or non-binary person themselves, a family member, a GP, health worker or employer. Our face-to-face meetings are held at a safe, discreet location in Wakefield.
